Dance Recital Time!

Wednesday it was Micah and Jewelia's winter dance recital. They usually have the same play/dance outline every Christmas, but they get to play different parts.

Micah was a penguin this year and Jewelia was a gingerbread cookie.

It was kind of a crazy evening. This year it was a little different and at a larger place with a million people everywhere. Jewelia got to be in the large costume change room with all the girls,

while Micah, although not the only boy this season (there were 4 other boys in hip hop), was banished to his usual hallway spot to read books and await his dance.

They both were cute. When Micah did his dance something was missing and it seemed a little messed up. It turned out one of the girls he stood next to was missing, so they had to find her and redo their dance. Pretty lucky to do it twice. The 2nd time was better with everyone.

There were so many girls in Jewelia's dance it was hard to find her, but she was there cute on the side. She did everything great! I am so mad though that I pushed record and then must have hit pause without knowing it and so I didn't get any of it on film. The video I got of Micah is so jumpy and far that I don't know if it's any good either. Bah. I wish I could have done better.

This is only the beginning of a crazy month to come. Next weeks ahead come Nutcracker performances, choir performances, piano recital, preschool programs and more.
