Say Hi to Macey!

I can do hair! And it's not on a my little pony!

Yes, long ago I couldn't even make a braid. A pony tail up high? No way! But oh, look what I can do now! I made braids in Jewelia's hair, and a pony tail too. I think I am quite skilled.

Well, no, I will never be as good as all those other moms that are super french braid styling their daughters' hair (I'm sure these are the same moms that have their hair done and manicures and snazzy outfits with matching purses, and their diaper bags are fancy little mini backpacks) but I think I have improved! She looks cute anyway............

Oh, and whenever she starts to whine and complain that she doesn't want me to comb her hair because it's owee, I just tell her a little story. When Aunt Rachel was a little girl she never liked to comb her hair. She wouldn't let anyone comb her hair for a long long time. So pretty soon her hair got lots and lots of snarls and knots in it, and so you couldn't comb it anymore. So it was so bad that Grandma Mary had to cut it all off!!! Now, do you want that to happen to you? No!!!

OK, so I can't actually remember all the details to this story. Maybe Rachel just got gum or something in her hair, but I think it was a good scary story for a girl who doesn't want her hair combed.

Life goes back to normal, and New Performances! Yea!

Well, it was fun to have all the excitement of a baptism and baby blessing, but how nice to get it over with!! No more stress! Well, at least not major stress. So..........life goes back to normal? Well, what should we do...........???

Macey's Blessing

Macey was blessed today by her Daddy! She wore the same outfit Jewelia wore when she was blessed. Troy says the bow makes her look like Aunt Jamima. We had a fun open house and ate lots of yummy food! Thanks everyone for coming!

Micah Got Baptized!!

Congratulations on your baptism Micah!! We are all very proud of you! Thanks everyone for coming and participating! We love you!

Macey is 2 Months Old!

Here is our little Macey. She weighed in at a big 11 lbs at the doctor. She's been doing pretty well, although we had some nice projectile vomiting last night! You can tell she didn't feel very good in the picture above.

She does really smile though--see, and it's not just because she's about to cry.

She is a good little girl. She will be getting blessed this Sunday by her Daddy at 11 am for anyone that wants to come.

We're having an Open House for Macey and Micah at our house around 12:15 pm on Sunday. Free food!

Fun at the Planetarium!!

We went to the Clarke Planetarium to celebrate Micah's birthday. We had a lot of fun and took some fun pictures.

Micah is turning 8! What does that mean?

Well, one thing is CUB SCOUTS!!! Woohoo! Thanks Grandma Mary for the oh so cool Uniform and Handbook! Micah is very excited about it. He goes to his first Cub Scout pack meeting tomorrow on his birthday!! It is funny, when he first unwrapped his present and saw a clothes box, he was like "oh, clothes!" like he was disappointed, but then when he saw that it was SPECIAL clothes, he was very excited.

Another thing is Micah is getting baptized this Saturday! He is excited about that too. Anyone is welcome to come! Micah will be singing too.

Tomorrow we are all going to the Planetarium per Micah's request. It will be fun!

IT FIGURES............

Sure.....she won't sleep during the night ANYWHERE but in our arms, but then how come during the day I can lay her on the bathroom floor for a minute while I do my hair, and TA DA! Fast asleep!!!! It just figures, doesn't it!

I think we'll be moving the bath mat to her crib. Just kidding!
