Happy Anniversary! Hooray for New Carpet!

Ahhh! The feeling of brand new SOFT carpet!!

Yes, we have never felt such a thing over here. It is so nice.

Yes, I know it is not that exciting, but we celebrated our 11 year wedding anniversary with brand new carpet for our whole house!

It was quite the adventure. We decided to move all the furniture ourselves to save a little money, but oh it was pretty ugly at times. It was a lot of work.

We did 2 days of carpet installing as to not have to move furniture down the stairs so much, but it made it so all the furniture upstairs went into our bedroom!

If you look closely you can see the nastiness that is the outlines of where we used to have our floor rugs:

The carpet guys came to work early on Thursday and set to work.

Soon, though, we had brand new carpet on the stairs and in all the rooms except for our bedroom! Then we had to move all the furniture back out of our bedroom for them to do our room the next day. We had to sleep on the floor then! (Of course it brought back memories of when we were first married and had to sleep on the floor for 2 weeks because we didn't have a bed because the furniture store messed up.)

And, we made a big decision and decided that Micah could move down to his own room now, giving Caleb his own room too.

They are so happy now to have their own space with their own stuff, even though Micah seems so very far away down there in the basement!

We are very happy with everything. Everything is soooo soft and nice. My favorite particular is the stairs going up. Remember the ugly carpet runner? Well, no longer!! Now we have pretty soft new carpet even with a skirt on the sides. It is funny that Troy says, "Wow! It looks like the carpet in the fancy rich houses!"
