The Girls' First Haircuts!

It looks pretty scary, doesn't it?

Today we decided Macey needed some help with her shag. She has never had her hair cut, and unlike Jewelia, who always had the curls, Macey seems to have a shaggy mullet.

Oh, and while we're at it, did you know that our Jewelia has NEVER had her hair cut in her whole entire life and she is almost 5 years old?

Yes, it is true, she has never even had a trim, well except for her bangs. See:

Her hair was getting so long she was pretty much sitting on it!

So, today was haircut day!

We took Macey to a salon to do it professionally. Here are the results:

Yes, we are looking at toys....it's hard to get a good shot of this crazy kid.

Macey says she is "bootiful!"

And, sorry I guess I'm cheap, but I wasn't about to pay $12 to get Jewelia's hair cut an inch off, since they said they charged the same for a full hair cut, so I tried to trim it myself. Not too bad I think. I think I cut off about 2 inches. She's not sitting on it anymore!

Jewelia says she still has to be the princess with super long hair.

I think we need to find a princess movie she likes where the girl has shorter hair maybe.
