Micah and a Guitar?

Micah and a guitar, you ask?

Yep.

Our Micah is a pretty interesting kid.

He loves to sing and he loves to dance ballet and tap, but now he has another new interest----the guitar!

You know we are trying to establish the family band, don't you? Well, we need our guitarists! Troy needs a little help I think.

Micah is pretty excited about his new guitar and that he gets to take lessons now. We think it is a pretty cool guitar. It is an acoustic/electric guitar so you can plug it into an amplifier if you want.

Plus, did you know that guitars these days can have built in tuners?

Fancy that! When he wants to tune it he just looks at the built in tuner on the side and it tells him when each string is in tune! How cool is that?!

His guitar is a teeny bit big on him, but I'm sure he will grow into it soon. He's gotten so tall. And sorry, you won't be getting any video of his new guitar efforts just yet. He's only had 1 lesson so far after all. He has a pretty good teacher who is a jazz guitar major at the University of Utah and who plays lead guitar in a local band. Plus he has his own CD coming out.

Anyway, we think it's pretty cute, and Troy and Micah seem to have their own jam sessions late at night together. (Don't come to our house late at night or you get a circus of Caleb on piano, Jewelia on violin, Troy and Micah on guitar, and Macey running around singing/screaming!)
