Still Alive

Hi everyone. Yes, we're still alive. I know it's been pretty busy so we haven't posted much lately, but we're all OK.

Halloween was fun and we got lots of candy. Now we are back to the busy busy days until Christmas.

Micah is still doing rehearsals for the Ballet West Nutcracker which he will be in from December 8-18th. Plus he is still in regular dance where he will have his Christmas recital on December 2nd. Plus, he is in the school choir which will have a performance on December 18th at his school. He is doing well in school as always, and they are looking to split him into higher grades for different subjects to keep up with his neverending smartness.

Caleb is busy with school and piano. He has his next recital on December 17th, and they've asked him to play a piano solo for the ward's Christmas sacrament meeting program the Sunday before Christmas. His teacher has asked him to play the piano for their class Christmas sing a long, and he is gearing up to perform at Maceys on the grand piano once again. Also, he entered his own musical composition in the school's contest for the arts and his song won and is going onto the district competition.

Jewelia is having fun with preschool and dance. She will join Micah at their Christmas dance recital on December 2nd also. She is starting to learn to read and very excited for her daddy to build her 1st big girl bed tonight.

Macey is still talking up a storm, singing and dancing and repeating everything you say. She is excited for her 1st little girl bed that she will claim after Jewelia moves up to her big girl bed tonight.

Troy has been busy at work and church stuff. He did 2 overnight bridge moves over the last month where he had to work from 8 pm to 7 am! Very tiring stuff, but we hope to have a nice little paycheck from the extra work soon.

Me, well, I'm pretty much the lazy slacker. The house is a disaster and I can't say I'm doing much besides keeping the kids up on their activities. I'm still freelance writing for Examiner.com and Suite101. I have 12 articles published between them. I'm still working weekends and since I'm the primary chorister, we are working on our primary program which will be on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

Things are busy, and they won't be slowing down until after Christmas, but I think we are having a great time regardless of the stress.

How can you possibly say you are the slacker!?!?! You are working two jobs plus taking your kids to all their lessons and practices! You are the busiest mom I know. How do you do it all?

DON'T YOU DARE call your self a slacker! NO NO NO! I SO WISH my children (2 older ones) were involved like your 3 older ones. I don't have a second vehicle to do all that running around. Anyway, your house cane wait, what you are doing for your kids is the best. They will have fond memories of it all. P.S. i was exhausted just reading all that you have been up to. MOMMY TAXI! thanks for your visit and comments too!
