Troy Gets His Own Office!

Troy has been working for a company for about 5 years now. He has been doing a pretty good job and was promoted to Team Leader about a year ago. He has always been in a cubicle, but last week he got permission to have his own office!

So, over the weekend we went in to move all his stuff from his cubicle into his office and to fix it all up for him for tomorrow. He isn't super lucky because all the other offices just got new office furniture and he has to use whatever old stuff is around, but we made it work.

I went in and hung his Diploma and GIS Certificate, his work awards, and I let him use my cool Mount St. Helens picture. I figured people at his work would think it was neat. We fixed up some book shelves and I organized all the millions of pictures of the kids and our family for him, and so now he is all set.

Well, I think I need to find some more pictures for his other walls, but I could only do so much with what I had, and I forgot nails and a hammer, so I was using pins and a stapler to pound things in the wall to do much of my hanging.

Anyway, we are happy for Troy. Although at first he was telling us that it didn't really matter that he had his own office and that he just thought I wanted him to have one, after we moved him all in there we could tell he was excited and happy. It will be good for him to have a place to work where he can shut the door and focus if he needs to.
