Could This Day Suck Any More?!

So, really, this picture was me today and this isn't the half of it. Yes, could my day possibly suck anymore? I would ask myself that, and then the next thing would happen, and I'd ask again, and yes, it would suck even more. Let's see if I can list the oh so fun events of my day today:

1-Get up 7 am, hurry kids to school with crazy hair and wearing my pajamas hoping no one will see me.

2-(come home get everyone dressed) go back to school for Parent Lunch Day

3-When getting lunch, realize there is not enough room to sit, so I sit by other children and NOT my own, then after 5 minutes of eating they are saying to clean up as I frantically shove cheeseburger down my throat.

Ok, this is no big deal really, until....

4-Get ready to follow Uncle Nathan to Pick n Pull to get rid of his junky car, but he can't get it started in the driveway.

5-Unload all children in car seats, go inside, he starts car a minute later, so go back reload children in car seats and start van to hear EXPLODING engine noises, and now our van won't start!

6-Call AAA to come tow van to service station.

Here is where it might have gotten better:

7-Tow man comes to say it's probably a bad cell in battery (whew! could have been much worse!), he jumps us and we go to Pep Boys to get fixed.

8-Go to Pep Boys wait an hour and a half while baby screams and squeals awaiting a nap.

9-$100 later van is working, pick up boys from school and head off to dance class.

OK, so not so bad, huh? Yeah, maybe it will be OK. I think during dance class my 3 younger and I will go to Kid to Kid and a toy store and look around---yeah, this could be fun UNTIL:

10-Get baby out of car seat and realize she is all wet through her clothes which you don't have a change of and we can't go home because we are down in Sandy for the next 4 hours until after dance class and dinner with my mom.

11-Strip baby and make do with the outside jumper dress, no shirt, and a sweater on top.

12-Go into Kid to Kid, look at costumes while Caleb and Jewelia play, until Caleb dances saying he has to go potty. I pull him out of play area and am grabbing Jewelia as I hear "oh no, uh oh!!"
Caleb has just created an enormous lake of pee across the costume area of the store.

13-Get bucket of 409 from counter people and microscopic rag they give me and get on hands and knees and scrub entire floor area of pee.

14-Buy Caleb a pair of pants that he doesn't need anymore except for the fact that he's got to have something NOW.

15-Go out to van, strip him and wipe him down in antibacterial wipes, get him into new pants with no underwear and no socks. Realize pants are much too big and he must keep his hands in his pockets to keep his pants from sliding off of his bare butt!

OK, so maybe this can be the end. Well, you're WRONG!

16-Promised kids the toy store, so go next door to look around and a minute in the door, Macey decides to explode with spit up all over me, her makeshift outfit and the carpet of the store.

17-Get on knees with travel bag of huggies wipes and proceed to scrub carpet, baby, and what ever is left of any decent coverings on the baby.

So, yeah, I've had car explosions, tow trucks, screaming babies, diaper explosions, pee accidents, and throw up all in one day!

Seriously, I didn't think I could take anymore! I've got this giant sack now of peed on, pooped on, thrown up on nasty shoes, socks, shirts, pants, and underwear, and all the wipes trying to salvage something in my van. This was truly a sucky day!

Oh man Becca I think you need a day off! That was almost hard to read...I've had days sort of like that but that might take the cake. I hope today is a lot better!

I'm so sorry! What an awful day. My friend always says on these days "well, another wing is being added on to my mansion in heaven for going through all this!"

there is this cute little statue that TLC Life Lessons has that would be perfect for you! it sounds like it was a tough day, but think of all of the great days you have to balance it out? you are a wonderful mother... and while your day definitely was tough, i think it just goes to show was a great mother you are.
